The Atomic Energy Organization of Iran (AEOI) has issued a strong condemnation of the United States following attacks on three Iranian nuclear facilities located in Fordow, Natanz, and Isfahan. The agency labeled the attacks as a violation of international law, emphasizing the facilities’ oversight by the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) under the Treaty on the Non-Proliferation of Nuclear Weapons (NPT). Following the military strikes, former US President Donald Trump declared the complete destruction of key Iranian nuclear enrichment facilities.
The AEOI’s statement criticized the aggression, suggesting the IAEA was either indifferent or complicit. The agency called on the international community to condemn the actions and support Iran. The AEOI has pledged to defend the rights of the Iranian people, including legal action. Furthermore, Tehran has stated its determination to proceed with its nuclear development program despite facing setbacks.
The AEOI has vowed that it will not allow the development of this national industry, which is the result of the blood of nuclear martyrs, to be stopped.
