Following President Donald Trump’s declaration of a ceasefire between Israel and Iran, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) reported that Iran launched fresh missile strikes, prompting sirens to sound across Israel. Iran’s Foreign Minister, Seyed Abbas Araghchi, indicated that military actions to retaliate against Israeli aggression continued until 4 a.m. The IDF confirmed the missile launch via a post on X. Earlier reports suggested Israeli military strikes in various locations within Iran, occurring shortly after Trump announced an end to the conflict. Trump, on his ‘Truth Social’ account, claimed that the ceasefire, agreed upon by both nations, would commence in approximately six hours. However, Araghchi clarified that there was no such agreement and that the decision on halting military operations would be made later. He emphasized that Iran would cease its response if Israel ended its aggression by 4 a.m. Tehran time. The situation developed after Trump announced a ‘complete and total’ ceasefire.
