Mumbai opener Prithvi Shaw has requested a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from the Mumbai Cricket Association (MCA), signaling his departure from the state team to play domestic cricket for another team. Shaw’s decision comes as he seeks opportunities for growth and development in his career.
In a letter to the MCA, Shaw stated his intention to join another state association as a professional cricketer. He believes this move will further contribute to his development as a cricketer. Abhay Hadap, the secretary of the MCA, confirmed that the association has received Shaw’s request and will issue the NOC soon. Shaw has not represented Mumbai since December 24.
Shaw has expressed gratitude to the MCA for their guidance and the platform provided over the years. For India, Prithvi Shaw has played 5 Tests, scoring 339 runs which includes one century and two half-centuries. He has also played 6 ODIs and one T20I.
