The Election Commission of India (ECI) is preparing for the upcoming Bihar Assembly elections scheduled for later this year. A special intensive revision campaign of the electoral rolls will commence on June 25th. The ECI has issued directives to remove ineligible names and include all eligible citizens in the voter list. Booth Level Officers (BLOs) will conduct a door-to-door survey during the intensive revision process.
According to the ECI’s calendar, BLOs will accept applications related to additions, deletions, or modifications in the voter list from June 25th to July 26th. A draft of the voter list will be published in August, followed by claims and objections from August 1st to September 1st. The final voter list will be published on September 30th.
