With the SUV market booming, Hyundai and Mahindra are gearing up for a wave of new releases. If you’re considering an SUV, it might be wise to hold off for a bit. Several brands plan to launch new facelifts and variants before the festive season. Patience could pay off for buyers.
**Next-Generation Mahindra Bolero**
Mahindra is planning a series of launches in the coming months. Recent sightings suggest the new-generation Mahindra Bolero is in its final stages of development. Mahindra has been working to revamp the Bolero, a popular model in tier-two cities with challenging road conditions.
Following the Bolero Neo’s launch a few years ago and previous facelifts, Mahindra appears to have developed a completely new vehicle. The new Bolero’s design reportedly resembles the G-Wagon and Land Rover Defender. The new Bolero is expected to launch within this fiscal year.
**Maruti Suzuki Escudo**
Maruti Suzuki is preparing to launch a new 5-seater SUV, possibly called the Escudo. This vehicle will slot between the current Vitara Brezza and the Grand Vitara, competing with the Kia Seltos and Hyundai Creta. The new SUV aims to attract buyers seeking a more luxurious option than the Vitara Brezza at a slightly lower price than the Grand Vitara. The new SUV might be powered by the existing 1.5 cc, four-cylinder engine with hybrid additions.
**All-New Kia Seltos**
Following the recent launch of the Clavis, Kia is set to release a facelift for its Seltos SUV. The vehicle has been spotted undergoing testing in Korea and India. Given Kia’s shift towards sustainable powertrains, the new Seltos may include a hybrid setup, along with existing engine options.
**Tata Sierra EV**
The all-new Tata Sierra has almost finished its pre-production test runs and will be launched soon after the Tata Harrier EV. The ICE variant of the vehicle has been spotted testing multiple times, and its launch is expected soon in India. Tata has announced plans to launch an EV version of the Sierra following the launch of the conventional vehicles.
**Kia Clavis EV**
Following the launch of the ICE Kia Clavis, the brand is planning to introduce the Clavis EV. The EV version will undergo several changes, potentially including a closed-off front grille and an EV powertrain. This powertrain is expected to provide a driving range of approximately 460 kilometers.
**New Gen Hyundai Venue Facelift**
The Hyundai Venue is set to receive a facelift with a new front fascia, similar to the Hyundai Alcazar. The new SUV was recently spotted testing alongside the new upcoming Kia Seltos. Buyers considering cars in this segment are advised to wait. The car is expected to be revealed soon in October this year.
