Berhampur: Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi spearheaded a significant State-Level Youth Samavesh in Aska, Ganjam. The event underscored a strategic vision to elevate Odisha to a $1.5 trillion economy by 2047. Chief Minister Majhi emphasized the critical role of the youth, stating that Odisha’s future hinges on their capabilities and resolve. The Samavesh witnessed the unveiling of development projects valued at Rs 5,500 crore. These initiatives include five irrigation projects, a high-level bridge, and a substantial road expansion plan. Further demonstrating his commitment to infrastructure and cultural enhancement, Majhi directed the development of a revised Detailed Project Report (DPR) for the Maa Taratarini Temple’s improvement. Additionally, plans were announced for the establishment of a cutting-edge skill training institute in Polasara. Highlighting the state’s industrial progression, Majhi noted that the ‘Utkarsh Odisha’ program is facilitating investment proposals exceeding Rs 17 lakh crore, aimed at creating over 13 lakh employment opportunities. Impressively, within a span of 150 days, projects worth Rs 1.8 lakh crore have been initiated, generating more than 1.1 lakh jobs. Majhi affirmed that the youth demographic, comprising 1.7 crore individuals aged 15 to 35, constitutes Odisha’s most valuable asset. The government is actively investing in their potential through educational reforms, skill development programs, industry-aligned college courses, and robust reservation policies designed to uplift marginalized youth.
