NIT Rourkela held its 22nd Convocation on June 20, 2025, graduating a class of 2065 students. The Chief Guest for the event was Shri Uday A. Kaole, Chairman-cum-Managing Director, Mahanadi Coalfields Limited. The institute awarded degrees across various disciplines, including Bachelor of Technology, Architecture, and Master’s programs. In a move supporting the Digital India initiative, NIT Rourkela announced that it would provide DigiLocker access to all graduating students for easy access to their digital degree certificates. The convocation also celebrated the achievements of the graduating students with awards and medals for academic excellence. A significant number of international students, representing several countries, also received their degrees. Furthermore, the institute recognized distinguished alumni for their contributions in various fields.
