A shocking incident has come to light in the Morwa police station area of Singrauli district, Madhya Pradesh. A young woman from the Hardibazar police station area of Korba district, Chhattisgarh, was allegedly raped and murdered. The incident occurred three days prior. While the crime took place in Madhya Pradesh, serious allegations of negligence and lack of seriousness have been leveled against the local police.
According to the victim’s family, the young woman’s body was left outside a hospital in Morwa for three days. Local doctors initially refused to perform a post-mortem, citing the decomposition of the body. The body was then sent to the Rewa Medical College Hospital, where it arrived late on Monday. The victim’s father, who had recently passed away, was employed in Singrauli. Her mother is currently employed on compassionate grounds.
The family stated that they had filed a murder case at the Morwa police station, but the police refused to register a case of rape. Furthermore, there are allegations that the police are driving away the relatives of the victim from the police station, leading to outrage and despair within the family. Upon receiving information about the incident, senior police officers reached the spot and attempted to explain the situation to the public. Meanwhile, the family took the body to Korba and staged a protest by blocking the road at Aamgaon Chowk.
