A surprising incident unfolded in Ranchi, the capital of Jharkhand. A man-eating tiger, seeking prey, was captured by villagers. The news caused a stir in the area, drawing a crowd to the house where the tiger was held. Forest department officials arrived to rescue the animal.
Purandar Mahto, a resident of Mardu village in the Silli assembly, heard strange noises from a room in his house on Wednesday morning. Upon investigation, he was shocked to find a tiger inside. Displaying quick thinking and bravery, Mahto cautiously shut the door from the outside without disturbing the tiger.
Alerted to the tiger’s presence, the village was thrown into a state of alarm. People cautiously emerged from their homes, gathering near the house where the tiger was contained. The forest department, upon arrival, will tranquilize the tiger for its rescue. The tiger’s arrival has created concern for both the forest department and the villagers.
A specialist rescue team from Palamu Tiger Reserve has been summoned. This event has instilled fear and panic among the villagers. Previously, residents of Garhwa and Latehar districts in Jharkhand faced terror from leopards, which attacked several villagers, even resulting in a fatality.
