‘Kuberaa’ reportedly collected ₹5.50 crore on its fifth day, bringing the total collection to ₹60.90 crore.
Sekhar Kammula described the film’s plot as a contrast between extremes, featuring a wealthy individual driven by greed and a poor beggar. Dhanush embodies the beggar, who seeks nothing, while the rich man desires everything. The film explores what happens when these worlds collide.
The director shared that Dhanush was his immediate choice for the beggar’s role, believing his skills would be perfect. He also wanted a star for the role of the rich man, and Nagarjuna fit the bill, always reinventing himself. The film also features Rashmika Mandanna and Jim Sarbh in key roles.
