Amitabh Bachchan has responded to social media criticism regarding his involvement in a government-led cybercrime awareness initiative. The veteran actor’s witty replies to trolls who questioned his participation have gone viral. The controversy began when Bachchan tweeted in Hindi, leading to a series of exchanges where he defended his role, stating he was simply fulfilling a request from the government. When a user commented that he should stop being the voice on the phone, Bachchan retorted, “Tell the government, I just did what they asked me to do.” Other users posted harsh comments, to which Bachchan replied with clever comebacks. In one instance, he responded to a personal insult with a humorous reference. He also addressed a user who complained about his voice in the caller tune by suggesting they take up the issue with the authorities. In addition to this, Bachchan delivered a savage clapback when a user accused him of being high. On the work front, Bachchan was recently seen in Nag Ashwin’s ‘Kalki: 2898 AD’ and is set to return with the new season of Kaun Banega Crorepati. He will also play King Dashrath in Nitesh Tiwari’s ‘Ramayana’, starring Ranbir Kapoor.
