Andhra Pradesh Deputy CM and actor Pawan Kalyan has voiced strong criticism of Bollywood, asserting that the Hindi film industry has strayed from its cultural roots due to globalization and commercial pressures. In an interview, he highlighted the loss of cultural identity in Bollywood films, contrasting it with the perceived strength of South Indian cinema in representing Indian values and traditions. He pointed to Aamir Khan’s ‘Dangal’ as a rare example of a culturally rooted Bollywood film, while suggesting that such films are becoming increasingly scarce. Meanwhile, Pawan Kalyan is preparing for the release of his upcoming period action drama ‘Hari Hara Veera Mallu’ on July 24, 2025. He also has ‘They Call Him OG’ slated for September 25th release, followed by ‘Ustaad Bhagat Singh’.
