Suhasini Maniratnam’s Tamil film, ‘The Verdict,’ initially released in theaters on May 30, 2025, did not meet expectations. Despite a degree of pre-release anticipation, the Krishna Sankar-directed film failed to connect with audiences, receiving a lukewarm response from critics. Consequently, it underperformed at the box office, concluding its theatrical run without significant success.
However, the courtroom drama is now scheduled to make its digital debut on the OTT platform, Sun NXT. The film’s streaming rights were acquired by Sun NXT. The movie will be available for streaming starting June 26, 2025, as announced on the platform’s social media channels on June 23, 2025.
The cast of ‘The Verdict’ includes Suhasini, Varalaxmi Sarathkumar, Vidyullekha Raman, and Prakash Mohandas. Prakash Mohandas produced the film under the banner of Agni Entertainment.
