The National Democratic Alliance (NDA) is gearing up for the upcoming Bihar Assembly elections scheduled for October-November. The NDA aims to contest the elections unitedly, with a cohesive strategy encompassing everything from planning to campaigning. Prime Minister Narendra Modi is the star campaigner for the NDA in Bihar, and his official programs and visits have already begun. The NDA’s strategy involves holding large rallies by PM Modi in all divisions of Bihar before the elections.
So far, PM Modi has addressed rallies and conducted government programs in three divisions: Patna (Bikramganj), Saran (Siwan), and Darbhanga (Madhubani). The next three rallies are scheduled to take place in Gaya (Gaya division), Begusarai (Munger division), and Kosi division within the next one to one and a half months. After these six rallies, three more government programs and rallies will be held in Purnia, Bhagalpur, and Tirhut divisions before the election announcement, during which PM Modi will lay the foundation stones for projects worth crores of rupees. The aim is to connect with the people of all regions of Bihar through these nine government programs and rallies before the election is announced.
Along with these public meetings by the PM, government programs are also being organized, where projects worth thousands of crores are being inaugurated and foundation stones are being laid. The BJP’s strategy is clear: to make development the biggest issue in the Bihar Assembly elections while highlighting the corruption and ‘jungle raj’ of the RJD.
Furthermore, joint NDA meetings and rallies will be held in all the assembly constituencies of Bihar within two months, from July 15 to September 15. All national and state-level leaders of the NDA will address these meetings and rallies. Prior to this, NDA meetings have already been held at the district and block levels.
It has been decided within the NDA that the election strategy will be prepared separately based on specific regions. Issues of aggressive Hindutva will not be raised, and there will be no Muslim opposition. The strategy for Seemanchal will be different. The JDU and LJP will be responsible for attracting Muslim votes. The NDA will also make the issue of Lalu Yadav’s alleged insult of Ambedkar a major point of discussion, aiming to attract the approximately 19% Dalit voters in Bihar.
