A case of theft has been reported at the residence of Pawan Singh, a popular actor and singer known as the ‘Power Star’ in Bhojpuri cinema. The incident took place at Singh’s home in New Maruti Nagar, Ara district, Bihar. Thieves gained entry by removing a window and made off with valuables estimated to be worth approximately 15 lakh rupees, 15 thousand rupees in cash, and 30 rounds of ammunition for a licensed rifle. In addition, they also stole some expensive electronic gadgets.
At the time of the incident, Pawan Singh’s elder brother Ranu Singh’s in-laws were present in the house. They discovered the theft when they woke up on Tuesday. Ranu Singh subsequently informed the police about the incident. The theft occurred at Pawan Singh’s private residence located in the New Maruti Nagar area under the Ara Nagar police station. The thieves entered the house late at night.
To gain entry, the thieves cleverly cut the window and removed it from its frame. They then targeted the cupboards and lockers inside the house.
It is suspected that the theft was pre-planned, and the thieves had prior knowledge of the house’s layout. Upon receiving information about the incident, the Nagar police station reached the spot, and a forensic team was also called in for investigation. The police are questioning people and examining CCTV cameras in the vicinity.
Initial investigations suggest that the theft was carried out with precision, indicating the involvement of a professional gang. Nagar Police Station in-charge Devraj Rai stated that they received information about the theft, and their team has started an investigation. He added that it would be premature to comment at this stage and that they are investigating the matter to apprehend the culprits as soon as possible.
News of the incident has caused concern among the neighbors, who are wondering what would happen to the common people if the house of a celebrity is not safe.
