Balod: The beginning of the new academic year in Chhattisgarh has once again raised questions about the education system. Sarjuram Thakur, the headmaster posted at the Government Primary School in village Chipra, has been caught drinking alcohol while on duty. He was previously suspended for the same offense.
On Tuesday, the Kusumsakasa BJP Mandal President unexpectedly arrived for a school inspection. During the inspection, suspicion arose regarding the headmaster’s activities. Upon closer observation, it was found that the headmaster was consuming alcohol and had concealed the alcohol in a Sprite bottle to avoid suspicion.
The BJP leader has lodged a complaint about the entire matter with the BEO (Block Education Officer). He stated that Sarjuram Thakur was previously caught drinking alcohol and was suspended. Despite this, reinstating him in the school again raises questions about the functioning of the education department.
It has been demanded that strict action be taken against the headmaster, keeping in mind the future of the children, so that the school environment remains disciplined and safe.
