In Rajnandgaon district, the coronavirus infection has begun to gain momentum once more. The district administration has become vigilant following the deaths of three individuals in the past 20 days. Although the deceased suffered from pre-existing serious illnesses, the coronavirus infection exacerbated their conditions.
Currently, there are two active COVID-19 patients in the district. However, anticipating the potential spread of the infection, the administration has started taking precautionary measures.
A high-level meeting was convened by the district administration in this regard, with representatives from the health department, the district hospital, and private hospitals in attendance. It was decided in the meeting that separate wards for COVID-19 patients would be established in all hospitals and equipped with necessary resources.
The administration has appealed to the public to adhere to COVID-19 guidelines. This includes wearing masks, maintaining hand hygiene, and avoiding crowds. Additionally, a warning has been issued that if the situation worsens, restrictive measures may be considered.
