A tragic incident occurred near the Kelora crossing in the Hathras district of Uttar Pradesh on Sunday, resulting in the heartbreaking death of 11-year-old Ali. Ali, who was traveling in a bus to attend a wedding, tragically lost his life when his head was severed after he leaned out of the window and was struck by a passing pickup truck. The horrifying scene left everyone present in shock.
The incident took place within the jurisdiction of the Hathras Junction police station. Ali, along with his family, was en route to Mevali village in Sikandararau to attend his cousin’s wedding. He was seated by the window in the bus carrying the wedding party. Around 10 a.m., the bus was on the national highway when Ali, in a moment of excitement, leaned his head out of the window. A speeding Tata Magic pickup truck then collided with him. The impact was so severe that Ali’s head was severed and rolled onto the road, while his torso remained in the bus seat.
The accident caused panic among the passengers on the bus. The driver stopped the bus after hearing a loud noise and, upon seeing the scene, found Ali’s severed head on the road. The sight of the blood-soaked seat and the boy’s torso caused immense grief among his family members. According to eyewitness Shahabuddin, Ali was seated near the window when a loud sound was heard. When they looked, his head was missing, and the seat was covered in blood. The police from the Hathras Junction police station arrived at the scene upon receiving information. The body was taken into custody and sent for a post-mortem examination. The police have seized the pickup truck and initiated an investigation, questioning the driver. Initial investigations suggest that speeding and negligence were the primary causes of the accident.
