The Chhattisgarh government has issued an order, transferring 28 commercial tax officers across the state’s Commercial Tax Department. These transfers are aimed at enhancing departmental discipline, administrative efficiency, and operational improvements. The orders have come into immediate effect.
The department issued two separate orders, assigning new responsibilities to officers at the level of Assistant Commissioners and Joint Commissioners. Some officers have been appointed as Joint Commissioners (State Tax), while others have been posted in crucial units such as State Tax Officer (BIU) and the Audit branch. This administrative reshuffle is considered a significant step towards the government’s proactive approach and bringing transparency into its functioning.
