Deputy Commissioner Manjunath Bhajantri held a meeting with senior district officials at the Collectorate to issue directives. The meeting focused on the upcoming marathon scheduled for June 26th under the Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan (Drug-Free India Campaign). The Deputy Commissioner instructed officials to finalize all preparations for the event, which aims to raise public awareness about drug abuse prevention. Instructions included utilizing digital and traditional media for promotion, determining the route, ensuring security arrangements, and appointing volunteers. Special efforts were urged to involve students from schools and colleges. The meeting also reviewed preparations for the Rat Road Flyover inauguration on July 3rd, the Jagannath Rath Yatra, and the Eastern Regional Council meeting on July 10th. Additionally, the Deputy Commissioner addressed preparations for the upcoming Sawan festival and the assessment of damages caused by heavy rainfall, along with other district initiatives.
