A female drug trafficker known as ‘Bhabhi Ji’ by her associates has surrendered in Ranchi, the capital of Jharkhand. Her real name is Ruby Devi, a resident of Sasaram, Bihar. Police investigations revealed that ‘Bhabhi Ji’ supplied brown sugar to numerous drug peddlers arrested recently. According to the police, most drug traffickers apprehended in Ranchi admitted to obtaining drugs from ‘Bhabhi Ji’ in Sasaram and selling them in Ranchi. DSP Prakash Soe stated that during the remand, shocking revelations have surfaced, exposing the drug network operating between Ranchi and Sasaram. Ruby Devi’s surrender to the court led to her immediate remand by the police. During interrogation, she disclosed names of individuals involved in drug trafficking from Sasaram to Ranchi. Police are now conducting a thorough investigation of the entire drug peddling network. Shockingly, not only Ruby Devi but also her entire family is involved in the illegal trade. Her brother, Pintu Sahay, has already been arrested from Sasaram, while her other brother, Prince, is also actively participating in the illicit activities. Six cases have been registered against ‘Bhabhi Ji’ at the Sukhdev Nagar police station, and police are gathering information about her criminal background from other police stations. She was known to quickly provide drugs upon demand from traffickers. Police investigations also revealed that several individuals from Ranchi regularly visited Sasaram to purchase drugs for sale in the city. The police are now conducting raids to arrest all those involved. DSP Prakash Soe emphasized that the network not only fueled the drug trade but also destroyed the future of the youth. Police have assured that strict measures will be taken to eliminate the racket. The police’s vigilance and action are expected to lead to significant success against drugs in Ranchi.
