The annual Rath Yatra of Lord Jagannath Mahaprabhu will be held with grandeur, devotion, and joy on June 27th (Thursday) from the ISKCON Temple in Kadma. Preparations for the Rath Yatra are in full swing, with the event being finalized. This information about the auspicious journey was shared during a press conference organized by ISKCON Kadma and the Rath Sanchalan Samiti, Jamshedpur.
Lord Jagannath, along with his brother Balabhadra and sister Subhadra, will embark on the Rath Yatra to their aunt, Gundicha Mata’s temple. The Rath Yatra will commence at 3:00 PM from the ISKCON Temple Kadma and will pass through Brahmlok Dham, Kadma Main Road, Kadma Bazaar, and reach the Rankini Temple. Thousands of devotees, including women, children, and senior citizens, will participate in this procession.
Before the commencement of the Rath Yatra, a formal puja will be performed from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM. Mahabhog (Prasad) will be distributed to the devotees from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM. The Rath Yatra of Lord Jagannath, Balabhadra, and Subhadra Devi will begin with the Maha Aarti at 3:00 PM.
Special Maha Aartis will be performed at four to five prominent locations along the Yatra route with the help of Swarna Deep (lights). Local representatives, social workers, and dignitaries will be present at these locations to seek the blessings of the Lord. The Rath Yatra will conclude at the Rankini Temple in Kadma, where a grand Maha Aarti and distribution of Bhog have been arranged.
Key members of the Rath Sanchalan Samiti, including Tārkeshwar Pandit (ISKCON Kadma), Veena Mahto, Santosh Gupta, P. K. Dhan, Sudhakar Sah, Ishwar Chandra Jaiswal, Rohit Singh, Jai Kumar Parikh, Somiyo Maity, Umesh Kumar Gupta, Ryan Kumar, Udit Chaudhary, and Chandravati Mata, along with a large number of devotees, were present at the press conference.
