In Bhubaneswar, AAYU Foundation, Ankura Hospital for Women & Children, 9M Fertility, Rotary Club of Bhubaneswar Meadows, and Unicharm collaborated to host a community awareness program. The initiative, themed “Empowering Women Through Menstrual Health,” aimed to address menstrual stigma and promote women’s health. The event coincided with the Raja Festival, a significant cultural observance in Odisha that celebrates womanhood and fertility. The program featured an informative session focused on menstrual hygiene, followed by the distribution of Sofy sanitary napkins, sponsored by Unicharm. The goal was to encourage hygienic practices, break taboos, and boost confidence among women and girls. Dr. Monalisa Naik, an obstetrician and gynecologist from Ankura Hospital, highlighted the importance of menstrual hygiene in preventing infections and advocated for open discussions about menstruation. Representatives from AAYU Foundation, Ankura Hospital, and Rotary Club expressed their dedication to community education and women’s health. The program saw enthusiastic participation, demonstrating a growing awareness of informed health choices. The initiative underscores the impact of collaboration between healthcare, community service, and corporate social responsibility in ensuring accessible and empowering menstrual care.
