The East Coast Railway (ECoR) has introduced the ‘ECoR Yatra’ mobile application, designed to provide comprehensive real-time information to pilgrims traveling to Puri, Odisha for the upcoming Rath Yatra. The Android-based app, now available on Google Play, offers a centralized digital platform for journey planning, access to transport services, and updates on railway facilities. It aims to eliminate the need for pilgrims to queue at station counters. The app features intuitive navigation and multilingual support, accommodating users from across India. Key features include schedules for special trains operating exclusively for Rath Yatra 2025 (June 25 to July 7), regular train timetables, live train and platform information, details on lodging and tourist accommodations, and information on ticket counters and booking options. The app also integrates with NTES and PNR status for fare inquiries and seat availability checks, and includes video tutorials for using Automatic Ticket Vending Machines (ATVM) and the UTS Mobile App. Passengers can also access information about drinking water and e-catering services, and click-to-dial helplines for Railway Police. Real-time notifications for emergencies will also be pushed to alert passengers. Pilgrims are encouraged to download the app from the Google Play Store to stay informed and avoid delays.
