A man in Odisha’s Balasore district tragically died in a road accident on Wednesday, just one day before his wedding. The deceased, identified as Harekrushna Mahalik, was traveling on State Highway-19 near Baligohiri when his car collided head-on with a dumper truck. Harekrushna, en route to pick up his sister for the wedding, was killed instantly. His uncle, also in the car, sustained critical injuries and was immediately hospitalized. The incident transformed the family’s preparations for a joyous Thursday wedding into a scene of profound sorrow. Police have initiated an investigation into the collision and have impounded the dumper truck involved in the accident.
