IIT Bhubaneswar marked the 11th International Yoga Day on June 21st, 2025, with a vibrant ‘Yoga Sangam’. The event, organized under the institute’s extra-academic activity and healthcare units, in partnership with the campus health club, saw enthusiastic participation from students, faculty, staff, and residents. This year’s theme, ‘Yoga for One Earth, One Health,’ resonated throughout the celebrations. The Chief Guest, Prof. Ranjan Kumar Bal, Vice-Chancellor of ASBM University, Bhubaneswar, highlighted the importance of mental health, wellness, and the holistic benefits of yoga, encouraging participants to embrace self-discipline and healthy habits for overall well-being. The event featured yoga asanas, pranayama, and meditation, guided by instructors who emphasized the deeper significance of each practice. Prior to the main event, the Health Club, Niramay, hosted a Yoga demonstration on June 20th. The celebration underscored IIT Bhubaneswar’s dedication to promoting traditional Indian practices for a healthier and more harmonious society.
