The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted an increase in rainfall intensity across Odisha starting Wednesday, with a cyclonic circulation over the Bay of Bengal contributing to the weather pattern. An orange warning has been issued for Mayurbhanj, Balasore, and Keonjhar districts for June 25-26. On June 24, several districts including Mayurbhanj, Keonjhar, Sundargarh, and others are under a yellow warning for thunderstorms, lightning, and gusty winds. Heavy to very heavy rainfall is expected in Mayurbhanj, Balasore, and Keonjhar on June 25, and Mayurbhanj and Keonjhar on June 26. Further, heavy rain may persist in several districts, including Mayurbhanj, Keonjhar, and others, through June 28. Light to moderate rain or thundershowers are expected in the subsequent days.
