Colorful Technology has launched the SMART 900 Mini PC, a compact desktop designed for AI creators and professionals. Announced on June 23, 2025, the mini PC aims to deliver high-end computing capabilities within a 4-litre chassis. The device is engineered to provide a portable solution for demanding tasks such as AI processing, photo editing, and content creation, eliminating the need for a full desktop setup.
The SMART 900 is powered by AMD’s Ryzen AI Max+ 395 processor, featuring 16 cores and 32 threads, built on the Zen 5 architecture. It boasts a maximum clock speed of 5.1 GHz and 80MB of cache, which enhances performance during multitasking and AI applications. The graphics are handled by Radeon 8060S, an integrated GPU based on AMD’s RDNA 3.5 technology, comprising 40 compute units.
A key feature is the AI-focused NPU (neural processing unit), delivering up to 50 TOPS of performance to accelerate generative AI, image editing, and machine learning tasks. The mini PC supports Wi-Fi 7, 2.5Gbps Ethernet, and includes multiple ports, such as two USB 4.0 ports, three USB 3.2 Gen2 ports, an SD 4.0 card slot, HDMI 2.1, DisplayPort 1.4, and audio and LAN support. It supports LPDDR5 memory at 8000MHz and features two M.2 SSD slots.
The SMART 900 is constructed with an aluminium body with a smooth anodized finish, and it is only 247.5mm wide, making it easily portable. Colorful positions this mini PC for students, video editors, and digital artists seeking a balance of power and portability. Pricing details have yet to be announced, but the specifications suggest a premium price point.
