A senior officer of the IRGC Quds Force, Behnam Shahriari, was killed in an Israeli airstrike in western Iran. Shahriari, in charge of Unit 190, oversaw the clandestine transfer of weapons to Iran-backed groups, particularly Hezbollah. The strike occurred over 1,000 kilometers from Israel. The Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) stated that Shahriari was responsible for transferring weapons to proxies across the Middle East and for financing terrorist organizations, leading to casualties among Israeli civilians and soldiers. The IDF described the elimination as a significant blow to these groups.
